NURS 6660 - The Clinical Nurse Leader as an Advocate



Prerequisites: Admission to the RN-MSN (CNL) or BSN-CNL program and completion of NURS 6620 and NURS 6630: Transition to Professional Nursing I and II. This course builds on concepts from previous courses to build the advocate role for the CNL. Principles of advocacy are presented and vulnerable populations are identified and combined in case-studies to allow the student to simulate the advocate role. Critical evaluation of patient and/or professional advocacy scenarios in practice is also included.
