CLSC 6220 - Introduction to Clinical Laboratory Science Practice


Course prerequisites: MHS Program Enrollment. Provides and introduction to the clinical laboratory science profession. The course will also cover safety; blood collection; ethics; microscopy; quality assurance and quality control; and basic lab math. Also includes the study of the diagnostic value of urine using chemical analysis and microscopic examination, with related laboratory exercises. The student will be expected to perform advanced practice competencies in related content areas.
