POLS 4902 - World Politics



A comprehensive study of the international political system, concentrating on the environmental factors, theories of international relations, the nation state and nationalism, international conflict, international cooperation, transnational institutions, balance of power and collective security, military strategy, the role of diplomacy, the dynamics of national foreign policy, the role of nuclear weapons in world politics, and other contemporary problems. May be taken for graduate credit within the prescribed limits and with the chair’s approval. Prerequisite(s): POLS 1101, grade of C or better.

Prerequisites: (POLS1101 >= C or POL101 >= C) and POLS3800 >= C
