SURG 5007 - Substitute Intern
Prerequisite: SUR 5000 Students on this elective will function as substitute interns on the General Surgical Services at the Medical College of Georgia Hospitals. The student will be assigned to a specific surgical service and will function as an integral part of that service. The student is expected to initiate the clinical data base, begin diagnostic measures, and where possible, to perform surgical procedures with supervision. In addition, he will participate in the teaching responsibilities, conferences, clinics, and operating experiences of the service to which he/she is assigned and will be assigned night call responsibilities.
Grade Mode: Normal, Audit
