Dear Students,
I want to take this moment to welcome you to Augusta University, and I am thrilled to have all continuing and new students with us — on campus and online — as we begin another year of learning and serving our communities.
You will find ample opportunities at Augusta, and I want you to jump in with both feet, grab the chance to lead rather than follow, dive deep into research projects, get to know your professors, and get involved in your community. We, in turn, pledge to be with you and support you every step of the way.
Augusta University has seen tremendous growth in recent years, not only in enrollment, but also in new programs and buildings being added on our campuses, more opportunities to positively impact our community, and a record amount of research awards granted to faculty and students alike.
Even as we continue to grow, I want to assure you that every year I charge our faculty and staff to have one primary focus, and that is to ensure the student experience here at Augusta University is one like no other. Once you come to AU, we are committed to doing everything we can to help see you through to graduation, setting you up to be successful in the workforce.
But before we get to commencement, I want you to know there is so much that awaits you at our wonderful university, and I hope you take advantage of the collaborative and creative learning environment available here. I know you will be deeply impressed, as I am, by our faculty — top teachers, scholars, scientists, clinicians, and artists — all committed to providing you with a superior learning experience.
