  • MUSI 2800 - Foundation of Music Production I (3 Credit Hours)



    Part 1 of this course will introduce students to the techniques and procedures for producing music within Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) software, focusing primarily on sequencing melodies, chord progressions, and percussion using a variety of MIDI input methods. The course is intended to be open to musicians of all levels, including those with little to no musical experience. To that end, the course will also provide students the opportunity to develop essential music performance, notation, and theory skills in the areas of piano and percussion to the extent needed to produce music using MIDI keyboards and DAW software.
